The Local Crumb

CHEF BIO

Aaron is baker of breads at The Local Crumb, a small production bakery in Mount Vernon, IA.  With a focus on long and slow fermentation, breads are naturally leavened with a sourdough culture and made using flour, water and salt and when necessary, lots of butter. 

Aaron eats stuff on toast for breakfast, lunch and dinner and wants to do nothing else but bake bread, deliver it by bike, garden and drink coffee.  Maybe he will someday.
