The Mother Lovers Ride

Bike the farms this spring while eating delicious local food. Celebrate Mother’s Day and bring your mom along with discounted tickets for all moms. Enter promo code: “motherlover” during registration. We are celebrating our human Mothers as well as mother cultures! Mother cultures are use to make kombucha, sourdough bread, and other ferments. Keep things funky.

RIDE INFO

Radtour promotes the bicycle and real food movements with intimate, community-oriented bicycle tours of small farms. Each farm is paired with a chef serving local food tastings. We are proud to feature the Superhero Farmers that grow our food and Rockstar Chefs who source local ingredients. Riders enjoy delicious food and handcrafted beverages while roaming farms in the company of friends. Ride on!

The day begins at 9am with check in and pre-ride breakfast bites at Goldfinch Cyclery. On site screen printing will be happening so bring a cotton garment for a limited edition, funky RadTour design to commemorate the event.

The ride gets rolling around 10am. The route is 47 miles of mixed terrain heading south toward Ely and looping back to Cedar Rapids for a post-ride gathering at Caucho!

The Superhero Farmer and Rockstar Chef lineup includes: Brewhemia, Dan and Debbie’s Creamery, Pavelka’s Point Meats, The Local Crumb, Abbe Hills Farm, The Quarter Barrel Arcade and Brewery, Lincoln Wine Bar, and Caucho. We will be featuring fermentista Jean Donohue’s Hue Hill Farm ferments as well. Humdinger!
